Elsa Majimbo Makes The Forbes Top 50 Creators List

Elsa Majimbo, 48 other creators and a Sheepadoodle made the first ever Forbes Top 50 Creators List released on 6th September, 2022.
Speaking to Forbes, the 21 year old affirms that she always had this gut feeling that she would be a star and was just waiting for the world to notice and in 2020, when everyone was on lockdown, thanks to the pandemic, the world did.
What does it take to be on the Forbes Top 50 Creators List?
Followers. Millions of them.
As a top creator, you must have an audience. A couple of millions of followers across your social media channels is the least you should be enjoying to get your name anywhere near this list.
Forbes calculated a sizeable 1.5billion social media followers across the top 50 creators.
Elsa Majimbo boasts of 3.8M followers across her social media platforms and this rightfully earned her a place in the list.
Forbes has however made it clear that likes, shares and comments that the creators had across their content posted online was considered.
Jimmy Donaldson popularly known as Mr. Beast sits at the top of the list with 162M followers. Charli D’Amelio has a total of 203.7M while Khaby Lame has over 231M people following him on social media.
With followers comes money because brands, more often than not, pay top dollar to have these creators showcase their products to their huge following. In addition to the brand money, these creators have also leveraged on their numbers to create their own businesses and have also earned millions from sales of their own products and merchandise.
Elsa Majimbo has worked with Italian luxury fashion giant Maison Valentino, Bumble and Beats By Dre in the process earning over $500,000.
The number 1 creator managed to earn $54M from ventures including YouTube AdSense, merch sales and a creative ghost kitchen concept selling burgers all over the United States.
