Konshens brings Nairobi to a standstill with an electrifying performance to usher in New years.

Konshens landed in Kenya on Wednesday, December 29 evening where he was warmly received by the NRG radio convoy at the airport. To perform in the most anticipated event which was mainly brought to you by BeMobile & NRG Radio. NRGWave was one of the much-awaited concerts marking the 6th edition in the city that ushered in the New Year in Carnivore on December, 31st 2021.

Kenyan fans were eagerly waiting to see his electrifying performance at the carnivore.

The Jamaican dancehall star did such an epic performance whereby he literally poured his heart out to his fans at the Carnivore grounds alongside some of the top Kenyan top artists like Sauti Sol, King of rap Khaligraph Jones aka Papa Jones, Fena Gitu, Benzema; among other artists. The show went down till late. 

Mwalimu Rachel alongside Gudah Man, and Deejay Xclusive were the main MCs for the event. The ‘NRGWAVE’ in the past years has brought awesome performances by giving the Kenyan youth demographic global standard entertainment experience. ‘NRGWave’ has previously featured big-time international and local artists’ such as Rick Ross, Kenny Latimore, Buju Banton, Burna boy, Khaligraph Jones, Fena, Diamond Platnumz among others.

This is not the first time Konshen is coming to Kenya, he was in Kenya in 2014 and the fans really came out in large numbers. However, due to the warm reception the international celebrity got from Kenyan fans, he vowed to come back to Kenya and this time, he promised that he will earn himself permanent citizenship. His remarks went viral and since then, Kenyans have created a virtual identification card and even went ahead and given him a Luo name,Konshens Otieno.

Konshens brought Nairobi to a standstill as he treated dancehall fans with a more than three hour’s performance for the best of his hit songs “Turn me on, Every Gyal, Gal Bubble to Baseline.” which has always had a soft spot for Kenya. The event was intact and fully packed and surprisingly Konshens brought his fellow Jamaican musician Charly Black.
