Nairobi, August 30, 2022: Over the last five years Airtel Kenya has steadily grown its market  share. Today, its customer base stands at 16.9 million subscribers, which is credited to it offering affordable and innovative products in voice and data. 

Airtel has been offering the most affordable and value driven products to its customers ranging  from Tubonge that allows free calls within the network (from Airtel to Airtel) and a preferential  rate of Kshs 2 per minute to other networks, which is the most affordable in the market. The  firm has also rolled out the popular UnlimiNET Combo bundles which offers minutes, data, and  SMS resources at favorable price points for as low as Kshs 20, keeping subscribers connected to  family and friends. Customers taking up these bundles can keep networking online even after  their data runs out.  

In the last 18 months Airtel has expanded its 4G Network coverage and added over 1,000 sites  covering 98% of all sub-counties this has made Kenyans connect better on the most affordable  network. The Telco has extensively been putting its networks capabilities and performance to  test to make sure that its consumer ready when the 5G services go live in the country.  

As a move to enhance customer stickiness to Airtel, Airtel Money is the alternative payment  option offering affordable financial services. Customers can easily fund their wallets through

the bank or go to any of the one thousand four hundred Airtel Money branches across the  country or any of their agents.  

Airtel Money products can be accessed via My Airtel App through (PlayStore & Apple Store) or  by Dialling *334# to Activate the Airtel Money account.

Airtel has plans to keep expanding its agent distribution points to cover all the sub counties in Kenya a move that will encourage more customers to do deposits and withdrawals across the  country.  

Airtel continues to introduce new and exciting products and services for its customers and is  currently running a campaign dubbed “CHAGUO SMARTA” which highlights the various  products for voice, data, and Airtel Money.
