The festive season is finally here and you do not have to go out of your way to make Christmas memorable by doing really expensive activities. Due to the health crisis going on you can also stay home and have fun with family and friends. Below are some affordable ways to have fun in style during this festive season:
1. You can have bake-offs between family members.
Baking competitions with your family and friends can be extremely exciting. Assigning timers can make it more competitive since the aim is to finish first. The best baker can be gifted and losers can be mocked for banter just to create a fun experience.
2. PICNICS, PICNICS AND MORE PICNICS!!
Imagine going for a picnic at a cool place and talking to your friends or family, WOW THAT CAN BE SO AMAZING!! It will also help keep your mental health in check.
Places like Karura Forest, Ngong Hills or even Evergreen Gardens are very suitable for outdoor picnics.
Although for some people who prefer not to pay entrance fees for such places, you can instead opt for a home garden if you have a nice backyard at your home.
Picnics are good for bonding experiences since you can watch the sunsets it even the stars together. This creates a more intimate experience for people who are very close.
3. INDOOR AND OUTDOOR GAME ACTIVITIES
For some reason, games are actually quite fascinating. In fact, you should take time and research the types of games available in the market.
The list is endless, we have; Chess, Draft, Monopoly, etc. Pick games that are for the right age bracket and the right crowd.
Drinking games can be done with friends, this creates lots and lots of memories.
Activities like bowling and swimming can be done between family members. You can take your kids or even younger family members to such places.
4. DRIVE-IN MOVIES
The COVID-19 pandemic has launched a drive-in movie theater comeback. It is something that plenty of people can enjoy with plenty of social distancing.
